This Juki Specialty Low Tension Bobbin Case is used when decorative sewing is performed with bobbin thread using thick thread or ribbon. The bobbin case will have a different tension setting to aid you in sewing these thicker threads. For sewers and crafters, it allows a broader range of creative freedom with decorative stitches by adding the ability to use heavy threads or light cording in the bobbin.

For quilters and crafters who like free motion quilting or thread painting this reduced tension bobbin case allows for easier balancing of tensions. Quilting and thread painting are art forms to laydown thread and create a "painted" scene or add interest with stitching through layers of fabric and batting.
