Pool Labyrinth is a hand-dyed batik from the JDJ Lagoon collection by Jacqueline De Jonge for Anthology Fabrics. The wax-resist dyeing process gives it rich, saturated color and a subtle mottled texture that changes slightly across the bolt. It cuts cleanly and presses flat, making it a reliable choice for piecing, appliqué and binding. Use it as a feature fabric, a blender or a coordinating backing, depending on the scale of your project. It mixes easily with the other colorways in JDJ Lagoon and with other Anthology batiks for a cohesive quilt.

Jacqueline de Jonge is a Dutch quilt designer known for dazzling foundation paper-pieced quilts and her BeColourful batik collections with Anthology. Lagoon is one of her color-story batik groups, built around teal, aqua and ocean blue so the prints combine easily in a single quilt. Each group includes larger motifs and smaller tonal textures for contrast. Anthology batiks are hand-crafted in Bali, where artisans apply wax with copper stamps (tjaps) or by hand and dye the cloth in layers. Because each piece is made by hand, small variations in color and pattern are part of its character. The tightly woven cotton holds crisp points and seams, and the rich color shows on both sides of the cloth.
