Blue Skies is a hand-dyed batik from the BeColourful Blush collection by Jacqueline De Jonge for Anthology Fabrics. The wax-resist dyeing process gives it rich, saturated color and a subtle mottled texture that changes slightly across the bolt. It cuts cleanly and presses flat, making it a reliable choice for piecing, appliqué and binding. Use it as a feature fabric, a blender or a coordinating backing, depending on the scale of your project. It mixes easily with the other colorways in BeColourful Blush and with other Anthology batiks for a cohesive quilt.

Jacqueline de Jonge is a Dutch quilt designer known for dazzling foundation paper-pieced quilts and her BeColourful batik collections with Anthology. BeColourful Blush extends her signature palette with softer pinks, corals, peaches and lavenders alongside brighter accents. The gentle gradations are ideal for feathered stars, circles and other paper-pieced designs. Anthology batiks are hand-crafted in Bali, where artisans apply wax with copper stamps (tjaps) or by hand and dye the cloth in layers. Because each piece is made by hand, small variations in color and pattern are part of its character. The tightly woven cotton holds crisp points and seams, and the rich color shows on both sides of the cloth.
