Creative Grids Low Shank Machine Shorty Machine Quilting Tool CGRQTA1LS

Designed by Angela Walters. Creative Grids Rulers are made in the USA and sold through independent quilt shops as well as select online retailers.

1/8" thickness for Low Shank machines with the appropriate ruler foot. Hand-sized is the perfect size, at least when it comes to machine quilting with rulers at home. Designed by machine quilting teacher and author, Angela Walters, Shorty is just the right size to get the job done without being too big and cumbersome. Black and white dashed guide lines are visible on all fabric colors.

Palm-sized tool allows you to keep control, helping prevent broken needles or crooked lines. Curved edges allow for versatile designs. Needle stop notches help you stop in the right spot every time. Use it for straight line quilting; concentric Squares; border designs; stitching in the ditch; geometric quilting and more.

The Creative Grids non-slip grip lets you position the tool on the fabric, then helps hold it steady when pressure is applied while quilting.

Creative Projects You Can Complete

Use Shorty for straight-line quilting, concentric squares and controlled geometric designs in blocks or borders. Its compact shape is useful when a larger ruler would be awkward to reposition.

Use its reference lines and stopping points to keep spacing and corners consistent, and practice the intended path on a small quilt sandwich first. Use the 1/8-inch low-shank tool with the compatible ruler foot and machine setup.
