Creative Grids 12" Skinny Pineapple Trim Ruler Tool CGRJAW12

Designed by Jean Ann Wright. Creative Grids Rulers are made in the USA and sold through independent quilt shops as well as select online retailers.

This 12" Skinny Pineapple Trim Tool, designed by Jean Ann Wright for Creative Grids, is perfect for creating a variety of pineapple quilt blocks in 6", 9", and 12" finished sized blocks. Easy to read black and white markings. Strip widths and center square measurements are printed right on the tool. Each round of logs is trimmed to size before the next round is added making every block the same size when completed.

To trim, use the 45 degree angled line for the odd numbered rounds. For the even numbered rounds, place the appropriate centering square on the ruler over the center square of the block and trim.

The Creative Grids non-slip grip lets you position the ruler on the fabric, then helps hold it steady when pressure is applied for cutting or marking. It comes with illustrated step-by-step instructions. Scan the QR code printed on the tool or instructions to watch a how-to video and see patterns made with it.

Creative Projects You Can Complete

Build Pineapple blocks with contrasting rounds for a runner, wall hanging or quilt. Repeating a center color can unify the design, while alternating light and dark logs can make the diagonals stand out.

Use the strip and center-square requirements for this exact tool and trim each round in its instructed sequence. Keep odd- and even-round alignment references distinct and choose one of this model’s supported finished sizes. For a guided layout, companion patterns such as Pineapple Smoothies and Pineapples And Pinwheels offer projects for this tool; follow the selected pattern’s fabric and cutting requirements.
