The Skitch PP1 requires the Brother Artspira mobile app to transfer designs and operate. The free Artspira Standard plan lets you import supported embroidery files, including PES designs purchased from OESD, and save up to 20 designs in My Creations. You can also use the embroidery drawing tool and browse projects. Artspira+ is optional and adds expanded storage for up to 100 designs, image-conversion tools and additional premium content. Creative Projects You Can Complete

Use Brother Skitch PP1 to stitch designs on suitable hooped fabric. Match the design to the machine’s supported embroidery field, and choose the right stabilizer, needle, and thread for the fabric. Embroidery area: 4x4". Size each design to the actual compatible hoop in use.

• Personalize towels, napkins, and fabric gift panels with names or monograms, using stabilizer suitable for the fabric and a topper when needed.
• Embellish garment panels, tote-bag panels, and quilt blocks before construction so the embroidery area can be hooped flat.
• Create seasonal embroidered wall-hanging panels and patch designs sized to a compatible hoop; trim, finish, and assemble them with the appropriate separate tools.
• Coordinate embroidery across a set of gifts by repeating a design on separately hooped pieces. Sew seams and quilt layers on a suitable sewing or quilting machine.

Mini Floral Monograms

Choose from 26 individual letters surrounded by delicate flowers and leaves. Pick the recipient's first or last initial, then choose thread colors that suit their kitchen or favorite palette.

A comfortable fit for the Skitch: Every individual letter measures no more than 2.72" in either direction, fitting within the PP1's 4" x 4" (100 x 100 mm) embroidery field at its original size. Start with one decorated initial per towel; these are ready-to-stitch designs, rather than a keyboard font.

Gather a few gift-making favorites

Start with a matching pair. Our OESD tea-towel blanks come in packs of two in your selected color. Linen/White or Cream makes a lovely backdrop for the floral details, while darker towels can look striking with brighter thread. The photo shows the available colors; one pack contains two towels in the color you choose.

• Bring the flowers to life: Choose Isacord embroidery thread using your selected letter's color chart. Keep the two towels coordinated with the same colors, or give each its own personality.
• Give the stitches support: OESD Ultra Clean and Tear is a useful starting point for these woven cotton towels. Test your fabric, backing, needle and thread together first. A little OESD TearAway Tape can help keep loose fabric clear of the stitching area.
• A finishing touch: The OESD Perfect Embroidery Press Cloth is an optional helper for pressing the finished embroidery face down without flattening its texture.

Make a pair that feels personal

1. Choose your initial and send it to the Skitch. Download the OESD collection, unzip it and save your chosen letter's PES file to your phone or tablet. Import it into Artspira through My Creations, then select your connected PP1 and its 100 x 100 mm frame. Confirm the design at its original size before transferring it to the machine.
2. Find its home on the towel. Wash and dry the towels according to their care instructions, then press them. Fold a towel as it will hang, choose a visible spot above the hem and mark the design center. Use a full-size template to check the placement, then secure the towel and stabilizer in the magnetic frame without stretching the fabric. Keep the hem and the rest of the towel clear of the needle path.
3. Stitch the blooms. Follow the letter's color sequence, changing the upper thread at each color stop. The Skitch is a single-needle machine, so those floral details need several manual thread changes. Check that the towel can move freely before you start and while the design stitches.
4. Finish and repeat. Remove the towel from the frame, gently remove excess TearAway while supporting the stitches and press as the towel care instructions allow. Use the same placement on the second towel, then fold the pair together for gifting.
