Known online as TipStitched, Tiffany Turner is a sewing enthusiast! A simple attempt at a 30-minute pencil skirt back in 2014 quickly turned into a love of sewing apparel, accessories, and even shoes! a blog, a short-lived clothing line, and a social media brand was created soon after. Combining her background in engineering and her love of DIY fashion Tiffany began to create digital fashion sketches to share her seasonal sewing plans. These sketches are what inspired the GO! Paper Doll collection. Tiffany fondly remembers playing with paper dolls and drawing fashion plates as a little girl and hopes this collection can provide nostalgia or create fond memories for others.

How to Die Cut Paper Doll Shapes
Apply fusible web product to the wrong side of the fabric, following manufacturer’s instructions, before cutting for fusible appliqué. Place fabric on die right sides together to cut pairs.

  • Paper Doll: Cut and fuse one 3 7/8" x 9 1/4" rectangle. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 4 paper dolls across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 36 paper dolls.
  • Hair Styles: Place scraps on blade and cut.

Die Tips

  • With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
  • Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle.  Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
  • Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
  • It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.

  • Cut Size: Paper Doll 3 3/8"W x 8 3/4"H (8.6 cm x 22.2 cm), Afro/ Curly 2 "W x 1 3/4"H (5.1 cm x 4.4 cm), Short Bob 1 3/8"W x 1 1/2"H (3.5 cm x 3.8 cm), Medium Length 1 3/8"W x 1 5/8"H (3.5 cm x 4.1 cm), Bun 1"W x 1 1/4"H (2.5 cm x 3.2 cm).
  • Finished Size: 3 3/8"W x 8 3/4"H (8.6 cm x 22.2 cm).
  • Die Board Size: 6 in. x 12 in. (15.2 cm x 30.4 cm)
