How to Die Cut GO! Lighthouse Die

• Apply fusible web product to the wrong side of the fabric, following manufacturer's instructions, before cutting for fusible appliqué. Place fabric on die right sides together to cut pairs.
• Tower: Cut and fuse one 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" rectangle. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 10 towers across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 60 towers.
• Dome: Cut and fuse one 3" x 1 5/8" rectangle. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 24 domes across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 288 domes.
• Top: Cut and fuse one 2 5/8 " x 1 5/8" rectangle. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 24 tops across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 312 tops.
• Catwalk: Cut and fuse one 3 1/4" x 1 1/8" rectangle. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 35 catwalks across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 385 catwalks.

Die Tips

• With some fabrics, a thread or two may remain where die blades meet after cutting. Snip these threads with scissors.
• Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to the edge of the shape, not the edge of the die board.
• Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
• It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.
• Care & Maintenance: Use adhesive roller or die pick to clean lint and thread from dies. Die blades never need to be sharpened.
• GO! Bolt material limits: up to 6 layers of cotton, batiks or silk; 2 layers of cotton with fusible web; or 1 layer of fleece, flannel, denim, leather, wool, batting or felt. Use no more than 4 layers when running two 5-inch-wide dies side by side. Start with fewer layers and follow the cutter and die instructions.
