Creative Grids Skinny 10in Curvy Log Cabin Trim Tool CGRJAW14

Designed by Jean Ann Wright. Creative Grids Rulers are made in the USA and sold through independent quilt shops as well as select online retailers.

This 10" Curvy Log Cabin Trim Tool, designed by Jean Ann Wright for Creative Grids, is perfect for creating the illusion of curves in your log cabin quilts. Easy to read black and white marking. Strip widths and center square measurements are printed right on the tool. One round of logs is made up of two skinny strips and two wide strips.

Each round of logs is trimmed to size before the next round is added making every block the same size when completed.

The Creative Grids non-slip grip lets you position the ruler on the fabric, then helps hold it steady when pressure is applied for cutting or marking. It comes with illustrated step-by-step instructions. Scan the QR code printed on the tool or instructions to watch a how-to video and see patterns made with it.

Creative Projects You Can Complete

Create the illusion of curves with straight-sewn log-cabin blocks, then rotate the blocks to explore larger circular or flowing layouts.

Keep the narrow and wide strip positions consistent within each round, then trim using the correct center reference. Follow the finished size supported by this exact tool and audition block rotations before joining the project. For a guided layout, companion patterns such as Silver And Gold and Carnival Table Runner offer projects for this tool; follow the selected pattern’s fabric and cutting requirements.
