Sarah Thomas, founder of Sariditty, never expected to become a full-time artist and designer. A self-proclaimed calculus nerd with a love for structure, she earned a B.S. in Aviation Technology from Purdue University and worked as a commercial pilot—until life as a military spouse led her down a more creative path. As she moved from place to place, Sarah discovered a passion for painting, quilting, and design. What surprised her most was how naturally her analytical mind translated into artistic expression. For Sarah, color and composition are as mathematical as they are visual, and her creative process reflects a balance of structure and intuition—a trait she credits to her Gramma Dittman. The name Sariditty combines two cherished childhood nicknames: “Sari” (rhyming with “cherry”) and “Ditty,” symbolizing the playful, personal nature of her work. Now based in West Virginia, Sarah draws daily inspiration from her rich, hands-on lifestyle—gardening, caring for her horses and dogs, baking, sketching, and spending time with her family. Every design and fabric pattern she creates is rooted in real moments and memories, thoughtfully transformed into art that tells a story.
