Raised in Los Angeles amid the film industry, Frances Newcombe found solace in sewing from an early age, first transforming a shimmering evening gown into doll dresses at just six years old. After earning a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, she built a career in Broadcast Design, crafting visuals for major television networks. Though immersed in the fast-paced world of entertainment, her true passion reignited upon discovering a local quilt shop, sparking an ever-growing collection of fabrics. Fabric design, for her, is the perfect fusion of sewing, painting, graphic design, and storytelling—a way to transport and inspire, offering a deeper appreciation for the world through texture and color. Today, she continues to create, blending experience, artistry, and narrative into every textile.
