Fabric Designed by Alexandra Bordallo

Alexandra Bordallo began sewing at the age of fifteen using her grandmother’s sewing machine, who also taught her how to crochet and knit. Over time, Alexandra taught herself how to create bags, backpacks, and accessories, and a few years later she discovered the world of quilting through sewing blogs and video tutorials. She is inspired by the magic of transforming small pieces of fabric into something beautiful and believes that creative challenges are essential to feeling happy and fulfilled. Always curious, she is constantly seeking new skills to learn and explore. Born and raised in Vic, near Barcelona, Spain, Alexandra now lives with her husband, Arnau, and their son, Ricard. Her deep passion for sewing and textile art led her to learn how to draw and design repeating patterns in June 2014, shortly after her son was born. In addition to sewing, she enjoys illustrating, cooking, singing, reading, and imagining magical, whimsical worlds with her toddler. Alexandra loves translating the beauty of nature into imperfect, whimsical drawings, and her son even served as her “little assistant” while she designed her first fabric collection for Art Gallery Fabrics, Dew and Moss.
