The Janome Gathering Foot gathers a single layer of fabric while sewing with a straight stitch. This foot is for creating soft gathers in lightweight fabrics. The underside of the foot is raised behind the needle and has a thick bar in front of the needle which adds just the right amount of pressure to create beautiful even gathers.
