Detailed Description

The Blindhem & Lace Foot is ideal for creating invisible hems and attaching lace with precision. It sews, overcasts, and trims the hem all in one step, giving your projects a clean, professional finish. This foot is perfect for achieving discreet hems and beautifully applied lace edges. The Blindhem & Lace Foot provides precise guidance, ensuring perfectly invisible hems and securely attached lace every time.

How to Use

    For Blindhem:

    1. Set Up the Machine Choose the desired stitch on your overlock machine.
    2. Attach the Foot Snap on the Blindhem Foot securely.
    3. Prepare the Hem
Fold and press the hem into place.
Turn the hem back on itself towards the right side of the fabric, leaving about 1/4” (6mm) of the edge exposed.
    4. Position the Fabric Place the hem under the foot with the fold aligned against the guide on the foot.
    5. Adjust the Guide Loosen the guide screw and adjust the guide so the needle just catches the thread on the fabric fold.
    6. Start Sewing Guide the fabric as you sew, ensuring the fold remains against the guide for a precise blind hem.
    7. Finish the Hem Open the fabric and lightly press on the wrong side for a polished look.
    8. Test First Always test on a scrap piece of fabric before sewing your actual project to ensure accurate settings and results.

    For Attaching Lace:

    1. Set Up the Machine Select the desired stitch on your overlock machine.
    2. Attach the Foot Snap on the Blindhem Foot securely.
    3. Position the Lace
Place the wrong side of the lace against the right side of the fabric.
Position the fabric under the foot with the fabric extending to the right of the guide.
Align the header of the lace against the left side of the guide.
    4. Adjust the Guide Loosen the guide screw and adjust so the needle just catches the lace header.
    5. Start Sewing Sew, ensuring the header of the lace stays against the guide for consistent placement.
    6. Finish the Seam Open the lace flat and fold the seam allowance to the back of the fabric. Press for a neat finish.

    Note:

For Insertion Lace: If using insertion lace, repeat the process on the other side of the lace for a beautifully finished look.
