Creative Grids Smiley Machine Quilting Tool CGRQTA12

Designed by Angela Walters. Creative Grids Rulers are made in the USA and sold through independent quilt shops as well as select online retailers.

Designed by machine quilting teacher and author, Angela Walters, for Creative Grids, Smiley is sure to help you stitch perfectly pointed arcs every time with its two differently sized arcs. Black and White dashed guide lines are visible on all fabric colors. Easy to use. Simply install a ruler foot on your machine and quilt along your chosen edge of the template for endless design possibilities.

Use Smiley to quilt arcs, curved echoes, curved motifs with gentle arcs in two sizes, continuous curves, cables, and more. Needle stops ensure perfect starting and stopping points when stitching out designs. Thickness is approximately 1/4" which is perfect for high shank home sewing machines and most longarm quilting machines.

The Creative Grids non-slip grip lets you position the tool on the fabric, then helps hold it steady when pressure is applied while quilting. It comes with illustrated step-by-step instructions.

Creative Projects You Can Complete

Quilt pointed arcs, curved echoes and cable-like designs with Smiley’s two arc sizes. A repeated arc can add movement to a border, while mirrored or repeated curves can emphasize a block.

Choose the arc and reference line for the available space and use the stopping points to keep repeats consistent. Practice the full path before adding several closely spaced echoes. Use the 1/4-inch high-shank/longarm tool with the compatible ruler foot and machine setup.
