Detailed Description

Designed by Angela Walters. Creative Grids Rulers are made in the USA and sold through independent quilt shops as well as select online retailers.

Designed by machine quilting teacher and author, Angela Walters, for Creative Grids, Petunia is the perfect tool for creating curvy flower shapes, circles and more. Quilt along the outside edge to create stunning floral shapes, or quilt along the inside edge for beautiful circles and arcs. You can even combine the two to create even more designs for your quilt top. Black and White dashed guide lines are visible on all fabric colors.

Easy to use. Simply install a ruler foot on your machine and quilt along your chosen edge of the template for endless design possibilities. Palm sized tool allows maximum control, preventing broken needles and crooked lines. Use Petunia to stitch meandering flowers, flower motifs, border designs, circles, arcs, stacked clouds, and more.

Needle stops ensure perfect starting and stopping points when stitching out designs. Thickness is approximately 1/4" which is perfect for high shank home sewing machines and most longarm quilting machines.

The Creative Grids non-slip grip lets you position the tool on the fabric, then helps hold it steady when pressure is applied while quilting. It comes with illustrated step-by-step instructions.

Creative Projects You Can Complete

Quilt flower motifs or meandering floral texture with Petunia’s outside edge, and use the inside opening for circles and arcs. Repeating a motif in a border can echo floral fabric or soften geometric patchwork.

Try the design on a practice sandwich first, then use the reference marks and stopping points to keep repeated shapes consistent as the tool is moved. Use the 1/4-inch high-shank/longarm tool with the compatible ruler foot and machine setup.
