Creative Grids 9" Seam Guide Tool CGRSMN9

Designed by It's Sew Emma. Creative Grids Rulers are made in the USA and sold through independent quilt shops as well as select online retailers.

The 9" Seam Guide designed by It's Sew Emma for Creative Grids can be used to mark the diagonal of squares up to 6-1/2". Mark through the slotted center with a mechanical pencil and sew 1/4" on each side of the line. Or mark the sewing line by drawing on both outside edges of the tool. It's the perfect tool when making half-square triangle blocks.

The Creative Grids non-slip grip lets you position the ruler on the fabric, then helps hold it steady when pressure is applied for cutting or marking.

Creative Projects You Can Complete

Mark the diagonal on squares up to 6-1/2 inches when preparing half-square-triangle units for pinwheels, stars or pieced borders. The narrow guide keeps the reference close to the fabric while you position the line.

Mark through the center slot and sew a quarter inch on each side, or use the outside edges to mark the sewing lines as instructed. Test the seam allowance on one pair before marking a large batch. For a guided layout, companion patterns such as Rustic Star and Cherokee Star offer projects for this tool; follow the selected pattern’s fabric and cutting requirements.
