Confetti Landscape Class 7/19

Turn a beautiful impressionistic picture into an even more beautiful wall hanging using confetti fabric, tule, and free motion quilting. Bring your own picture, or use mine. Learn basic free motion quilting and thread painting techniques to put details into your landscape.

REQUIRED SUPPLIES

• Sewing machine with free motion quilting capabilities
• Typical sewing supplies
• Landscape picture without sharp edges or shapes ("Impressionistic" forest pictures work best)
• Rotary cutter with sharp blade
• 6x12" or smaller ruler
• Small cutting mat
• Scraps of fabric that represent the colors in your picture (I like batiks, but cottons are OK too)
• Assortment of threads that are represented in your picture
• FQs of background
• Low loft batting
• Backing
• 2 Pieces of black or charcoal tule
