Alphasew Carbon Brush YM4018

The Alphasew YM4018 Carbon Brush is a replacement motor brush for sewing machines. Carbon brushes carry current to the spinning motor and wear down gradually with use. A worn brush can cause a machine to run slowly, spark, stall or lose power. Replacing the brush restores smooth, reliable motor performance.

Confirm that YM4018 matches your machine's motor before ordering, since brush sizes vary by motor. Brushes are usually replaced in pairs so both sides wear evenly. If you are not comfortable working on a motor, our service team can help. Always unplug the machine before servicing.

Service Tips

• Unplug the machine before removing the motor cover.
• Replace both brushes at the same time for even wear.
• Check the old brush length and the commutator for wear while the motor is open.
