Named for the spiderweb design it creates, the GO! Spider Web-6" Finished is a traditional block and will make great use of your stash! This die combines 4 units to create a 12" finished quilt block. Create stunning modern designs just by rearranging or rotating units in fun ways or play with color. Note: Each Spider Web block is composed of four 6" finished units for a 12" finished block. It works with the GO! Me, GO!, GO! Bolt, GO! Big and Studio 2 (with a GO! die adapter) cutters. Cutting requires the AccuQuilt GO! 5" x 10" cutting mat, sold separately. Because there are no templates to trace or rulers to slip, it is an easy way for beginners and experienced quilters alike to get consistent, accurate pieces quickly.

How to Die Cut GO! Die Spider Web 6" Finished

• For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller. For 2-color unit, cut two layers of one fabric color and two layers of a contrasting fabric color at a time.
• Cut two 8 1/2" x 4" rectangles. Place one layer of fabric and one contrasting layer of fabric right side up over shapes A, B, C and D to cut shapes.
• Cut two 6" x 4" rectangles. Place one layer of fabric and one contrasting layer of fabric wrong side up over shapes B, C and D to cut shapes.
• For a 2-color design, 10 cuts across the width of fabric yield enough pieces for five complete blocks; and one yard of 40" wide fabric in each color will yield 20 blocks.

Die Tips

• With some fabrics, a thread or two may remain where die blades meet after cutting. Snip these threads with scissors.
• Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to the edge of the shape, not the edge of the die board.
• Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
• It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.
• Care & Maintenance: Use adhesive roller or die pick to clean lint and thread from dies. Die blades never need to be sharpened.
• For Studio or Studio 2 use, fit the GO! die in the appropriate GO! die adapter and compatible Studio tray, and use Studio cutting plastic instead of a GO! cutting mat.
• GO! Bolt material limits: up to 6 layers of cotton, batiks or silk; 2 layers of cotton with fusible web; or 1 layer of fleece, flannel, denim, leather, wool, batting or felt. Use no more than 4 layers when running two 5-inch-wide dies side by side. Start with fewer layers and follow the cutter and die instructions.
