Scott Flanagan is a quilt designer and founder of 4th and Main Designs, established in 2011. His passion for quilting began at the age of seven, sewing alongside his grandmother to create quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Coming from a family of crafters and woodworkers, he developed a deep appreciation for handmade artistry early on. Flanagan’s designs have been widely featured in prominent publications, including Quiltmaker, McCall’s Quilting, and Fons & Porter, as well as Country Traditions, where he is also a contributor. He is inspired by the endless creative possibilities of pattern design and is known for his enthusiasm and efficiency, often completing project samples within just a few days. He enjoys every stage of the quilting process—from initial design and fabric selection to piecing, quilting, and finishing—viewing each step as an essential part of bringing a project to life.
