Hollis is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Alaska. While she primarily works with watercolor, she also dabbles in oil painting, graphic design, digital surface design, and ceramics. She studied art at the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau, Alaska which she now calls home with her husband and son.

For her watercolor is the perfect medium to interpret the land and sky. The flow of the paint, the way the brushstrokes dissolve into each other, and the way the pigment settles into the peaks and valleys of the paper mimics the spontaneity of nature.
