Machine Manual

With sturdy construction and stable feeding, style follows substance in the well equipped and intuitively designed Janome 4120QDC-T. 120 stitches, twin-needle functionality, and programable stitch pattern combination are just a few of the cutting-edge features of this special machine. The Janome 4120QDC-T has the power, precision and convenience you need to realize your creative potential.

Main Features
120 Built In Stitches
Choose from 120 built-in stitches, 7 one-step buttonhole options, and three alphabet fonts: English, European, and Cyrillic. The 4120QDC includes all of your basic necessities, specialized stitches, and twin needle options. The manual has instructions on sewing straight stitches, zig-zag, overedge, stretch, applique, pin tucking, satin stitches, decorative topstitching, hems, and so much more.

LCD Touchscreen
The easy-to-read screen displays your stitch pattern, mode, stitch pattern number, type of presser foot, stitch width, and stitch length. You can also use the LCD touchscreen to edit, program, and save stitch combinations. Program up to 50 stitch combinations at once on the screen.

Auto-thread Cutting
The machine will trim the treads automatically after the locking stitch then stop when the reverse or auto-lock button is pressed or a pattern has the auto-lock stitch programmed.

One-touch Buttons
Janome's 4120QDC-T is equipped with seven essential buttons. These buttons include a start/stop button, easy reverse button, lock stitch button, thread trimmer button, twin needle button, speed control slider, and a memorized needle up/down button. With all these convenient features, you will be able to quickly and effortlessly navigate your machine.

Drop Feed
The 4120QDC makes free-motion sewing, button sewing, and embroidery a breeze with its lowered feed dogs. To lower them, you will need to remove the bed of the machine, where on the back of the free arm is a lever that will disengage your feed dogs. When the seven-piece feed dogs are not engaged, they "sink" below the needle plate, allowing you to move your fabric in any direction.

Snap-on Feet Compatible
The snap-on presser foot adaptor makes it easy to go from one foot to another. Simply press the button, and the presser foot will detach. To install a different presser foot, line it up below the adaptor and lower the presser foot bar until it "snaps" into place and you are ready to go.

Free Arm/Storage
The free arm is essential for hemming sleeves, pant legs, and other cylindrical items. Remove the auxiliary bed to access the 4120QDC's free arm. Located inside the bed of the machine is a convenient storage compartment! You can keep presser feet, seam rippers, thread, and tools in this storage area. It makes it easier to carry your notions with you to classes and guild meetings with all the extra space!

Adjustable Presser Foot Pressure
Adjusting the presser foot pressure depending on your material will ensure precision stitches on all fabric types. Thin fabrics need more pressure to keep them from shifting while sewing. Thick fabrics, such as fleece, require less pressure, allowing them to move more easily through the machine.

Superior Plus Feed System
Janome's Superior Plus Feed System ensures you get professional-level stitches. The 4120QDC-T feed dogs are located below the needle plate and move in sync with your presser foot to feed the fabric through the machine. This seven-piece feed dog system ensures a more consistent fabric feed, keeping layers from shifting as you sew. The superior PLUS feed system moves in a box motion; unlike the elliptical rotation of other feed dogs, a box rotation provides a more controlled feed.

Built-in Needle Threader
The one-hand needle threader easily threads your needle without eyestrain and allows you to start sewing quickly. Pass the thread through the thread guide, pull the threader down, return the lever to its original position, pull the thread through your needle, and you are ready to go. The needle threader cannot be used on twin needles.
